I'm Danny Lawson, and I love mountain biking. There's nothing quite like the feeling of flying down a hill on two wheels, dodging obstacles as you go. I've been biking for years now, and I'm always looking for new trails to explore.

Mountain biking is more than just a hobby for me - it's a way of life. I love the challenge and excitement that comes with it, and I'm always pushing myself to go faster and ride harder. Some people might think that mountain biking is dangerous, but I see it as the only way to live.

My name is Julian and I have a passion for cycling that began at a young age. Growing up on Long Island, I always enjoyed riding bikes and eventually began racing mountain bikes in the National Interscholastic Cycling Association’s New York High School League, which was in its 2nd year at the time. In 2015, I had the opportunity to participate in a cross-country cycling tour from Charleston to San Diego with a group of young riders and leaders from Apogee Adventures. After graduating in 2016, I moved to Durango, Colorado to attend Fort Lewis College where I studied Political Science and continued my love for cycling by racing cross country mountain bikes and road bikes for the school. While in Durango, I also had the chance to experience a variety of cycling disciplines, including cyclocross, track, downhill, and dual slalom. I even participated in the local Durango Enduros and the infamous Tuesday Night Worlds group rides, trying to keep up with the local pros. These days, I support myself as a freelance videographer, musician, and writer. Despite my busy schedule, I always make time for cycling and enjoy researching and writing about bikes and watching professional cycling on TV.

I love mountain biking and live in Salt Lake City: a central hub for the MTB community. I have incredible mountain trails in my backyard and am a few hours from the stunning red rock of southern Utah. My bike is my freedom machine; it lets me get places I'd never be able to go otherwise.

I started biking four years ago when a series of injuries put me out of commission for trail running. While biking started as cross-training, I fell in love with the sport. I mainly enjoy using my bike as a tool for exploration, I've done 50-mile all-day epic rides in the mountains and have been to some amazing places on my bike.

As a writer, I specialize in outdoor adventure and recreation. I have a wide range of experience in the outdoors, from backpacking all over the western US to trekking in the Himalayas. I have written gear reviews, trip reports, and informational articles related to hiking, camping, skiing, cycling, and more.
